Faith in the Fire

I believe when a woman heals, her home heals. When she grows in faith, her family feels it. And when she learns to love herself the way God loves her, everything changes. This is where we begin—by helping women reconnect to their Creator, honor their bodies, and live from a place of peace and presence. - Kathy Ash

Faith in the Fire

2025 has been an extremely hard season for our family—one filled with heartbreak, uncertainty, and total surrender.

On December 31st, 2024, our world shifted in an instant. My son was in a devastating car accident that forever changed our lives and tragically took the life of his best friend. The grief, shock, and pain rippled through every part of our home. As a mother, watching my child walk through that kind of loss has been absolutely heartbreaking. There came a moment when I knew that nothing else mattered—my family needed my full attention, my prayers, and my presence.

Just as we began to find our footing again, another storm came. About seven months later, my husband began experiencing frightening health issues that left us searching for answers. There were days he could barely walk and needed a cane just to move around. We spent more time in the ER than I can count, going through countless tests, doctor visits, and long stretches of time off work. He was even tested for cancer—a humbling and terrifying time that left me praying through tears, facing the possibility of losing the man I had just married.

Those months were filled with fear and faith colliding. Yet even in the unknown, God’s presence never left us. He was in every waiting room, every sleepless night, and every moment we didn’t know what the next day would bring.

I stepped back. I paused. I breathed. I cried out to God and allowed myself to feel the weight of it all. I entered a season of deep healing—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I needed to be still before Him and let Him comfort, restore, and rebuild the parts of me that had been running on empty.

And friend, when I say He met me there—I mean it.

In the quiet, God reminded me that His strength is made perfect in weakness. That even in our darkest valleys, His light still finds a way to shine through. Through the tears and the silence, He began to mend what was broken and breathe new life into places I thought were beyond repair.

This season has changed everything about how I live, how I serve, and how I lead. It has redefined what success looks like, both in life and in business.

A Faith-Led Rebrand

As I began to heal, I realized God was calling me to rebuild everything—but this time, with Him at the center. No more striving. No more forcing things to fit where they no longer belong. I want to be bold in my faith and to live and lead with authenticity and obedience.

So, I made a decision: from this point forward, God is my CEO.I had said those words before, but this time it’s different. I’m not just giving Him a title—I’m giving Him full authority. He’s the one leading every step. He's the reason, the rhythm, and the direction behind it all.

Every service, every program, every post, and every conversation—it's all for His glory. I want my work to be an overflow of His love and purpose. This new chapter of The Healthy Hippie Mama is about blending the holy and the holistic. It’s where faith meets natural living, and wellness becomes an act of worship.

Empowering Women Through Faith & Wellness

As part of this shift, I’ve also felt led to focus solely on serving women. Because, let’s be honest—we carry so much. We nurture, we lead, we love deeply, and yet, we often forget to care for ourselves.

My mission is to empower women to take charge of their own wellness journey—not out of perfectionism, but out of purpose. To teach them how to put on their own oxygen masks first so they can show up whole, rooted, and restored.

I believe when a woman heals, her home heals. When she grows in faith, her family feels it. And when she learns to love herself the way God loves her, everything changes. This is where we begin—by helping women reconnect to their Creator, honor their bodies, and live from a place of peace and presence.

What’s Changing

If you’ve been with me for a while, you’ll notice that some things look different. You’ll no longer see Reiki listed on my website. While I still believe it can be a beautiful healing tool, it’s not one I feel led to continue offering. God has been clear about where He wants me—and that means aligning every part of my business with His Word and Spirit.

From here on, every aspect of my work is faith-led—centered on God’s presence and guided by the Holy Spirit. Because true healing doesn’t happen apart from God. It begins with Him.

Moving Forward

This is more than a rebrand—it’s a rebirth.

I’ve walked through the valley, and I’ve seen God’s goodness in the middle of it. Now, I’m ready to rise again, to walk boldly in the calling He’s placed on my life, and to help women do the same.

If you’re ready to grow in faith, nurture your body, and lead your home from a place of peace and purpose—welcome. You belong here.

With love, holy roots and a hippie heart,

Kathy Ash
